  • 9×19 mm (9 mm Luger – bullet velocity 335±10 m/s)

Dimensions & Protection Area:

  • Front panel: 400×253 mm
  • Side panels (2 pcs): 390×200 mm each
  • Total protection area: provides front and rear neck protection

Ballistic Panel Materials:

Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE): Manufactured by “Dyneema”, USA. This material is recognised for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, offering outstanding ballistic protection.

Pointex AP (Kevlar): Known for its ability to absorb impact energy and minimise the risk of injury from bullets and fragments.

Cordura: Ensures material integrity and moisture resistance, extending the product’s lifespan.

Our ballistic neck protectors are made from top-quality materials - “Dyneema” from the USA and synthetic Kevlar “Pointex AP” from Italy.

Intended Use:

  • Designed for: The ballistic prone neck protector is designed for military personnel operating in combat conditions without restricting head movement, especially for vehicles drivers, artillerymen, and snipers in a prone position.
  • Task types: This protective gear shields the neck from fragments and bullets which is crucial when maintaining a low profile during combat, such as firing from cover or performing tasks in a prone position.
  • Why it’s needed: Compared to traditional standing-collar gorgets, the neck protector offers better air flow and greater mobility while protecting vital arteries and airways.
  • Not suitable for: This type of protection may be less effective for soldiers engaged in active standing manoeuvres requiring coverage of the upper neck area, including the throat and chin.
  • Benefits: The gorget provides an optimal balance between necessary protection and comfort allowing soldiers to focus fully on their missions.
