Product Details

The ballistic armour panel is manufactured to industry standards and provides Level 1 protection according to DSTU (Ukrainian State Standard) 8782:2018.

The ballistic panel withstands:

  • 9×18 mm (9 mm Makarov – bullet velocity 335±10 m/s)
  • 9×19 mm (9 mm Luger – bullet velocity 335±10 m/s)

Dimensions & Protection Area:

  • Size of the pannel: 300x150 mm
  • Total protection area: provides lower back protection

Ballistic Panel Materials:

Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE): Manufactured by “Dyneema”, USA. This material is recognised for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, offering outstanding ballistic protection.

Pointex AP (Kevlar): Known for its ability to absorb impact energy and minimise the risk of injury from bullets and fragments.

Oxford: Ensures material integrity and moisture resistance, extending the product’s lifespan.

Our ballistic protection is made from top-quality materials - “Dyneema” from the USA and synthetic Kevlar “Pointex AP” from Italy.

Carrier Material:

Cordura: Adds extra durability and water resistance, and is also tear-resistant.

Intended use:

Designed for: The lower back protection is designed for soldiers operating in high-risk environments where attacks from lower angles are possible. It is especially suitable for APC drivers, artillery crews, and engineering units working with mines and explosives.

Task types: It is best to use as extra protection when working in a seated or semi-reclined position for example, in trenches or during extended vehicle operation.

Why it’s needed: The lower back area often remains exposed, increasing the risk of serious injuries from fragments.

Not suitable for: Soldiers who require maximum mobility and flexibility such as, reconnaissance units or assault teams, where lightweight and unrestricted movements are essential.

Benefits: Provides additional protection against fragments and debris coming from below, reducing the risk of injury and increasing confidence and safety during combat.
